A three-minute cartoon that replays eighteen real X posts about the hire every AI startup wants and nobody can find, with every post kept word for word.
I turned one X thread into short scenes in a shared cartoon hallway. Erik Torenberg's post about comms and people roles starts it, and the replies build the job description: chronically online, has taste, understands AI, can execute, can write. I gathered the posts with Dots, and ChatGPT and Codex drew the fourteen characters and made the synthetic voices. Claude Code animated it in a Python renderer: faces and mouth timing, captions in the posts' exact text, hard cuts only where one post really replies to the last, and explainer panels built from each post's own words. After each render I decided what changed: the framing, the panels, a credit after the first post, and a two-post exchange that had been left out.
The asset package came with a flat "counter" bar to hide where the waist-up drawings end. Claude Code rendered it because its clearance check passed, but it read as an interface bar, so I asked what it was. Framing the characters so their drawings run off the bottom of the frame replaced it.
I steered from rendered frames and short clips rather than specs, often pointing at one detail and asking what it was or why it was there. I asked to see only the part under discussion, for example just the opening while comparing three versions of the presenter credit. When a character returned from an earlier film, I asked Claude Code how it would keep the exact voice, and turned its answer into a rule for future films.
